- Since acquiring the windjammer Angelique in 1986, Mike and Lynne and their children Katie and Ryan have enjoyed the lifestyle, people and beautiful scenery of Maine. Mike, hooked on sailing at the age of 5, sailed his eight-foot pram on young "adventures" - exploring bays, harbors, islands and marshes along the Connecticut shoreline. After College, Mike saw windjamming as more than just a good summer job. He first signed aboard the now retired Adventure as mate and was encouraged by the Captain to pursue a career in windjamming. Mike took the advice and has no regrets! He has been a maritime professional for over 30 years, sailing vessels of all sizes and shapes to various ports of call. Lynne, a former counselor and elementary school teacher, is now the office manager and the "voice on the phone" to help you with your Angelique cruise plans. It will have to happen in my next life! Wanted to go to Maine Maritime Academy but no girls allowed!
